Reviews
The campsite is beautiful and free of cars. It feels like camping in the mountains. There are walks and hikes to do directly from the campsite. The facilities are clean, hot showers and the staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The bar serving local produce is also great. I would stay there again.
Family, 2 adults 2 kids and 1 tent.
One of the most beautiful campsite I ve been in. The road to reach it is tricky but the place is amazing. There is shade for a tent, a restaurant, a bar, a small shop, all you need to shower...The owner were speaking English too .
Possibly Europe's best camp site. Beautiful place. Lovely natural camping ground. You have to park the car and carry your possessions to nearby camping ground or use a supplied wheel barrow. No electricity is a bonus as stops people playing music etc and disturbing the tranquility. Delightful clean stream flows through the site.
Spectacular location in beautiful landscape, perfect for exploring the surrounding mountains within 2-4 days.
This wonderful camp site is phenomenal!
The nature is unbelievable, such a awesome place.
You are surrounded by mountains and beautiful views, almost the only thing I could here have been the bells from the cows.
It's also a really good place to do some walks in the valley and also to start a hike to the lake or the mountains.
The owner is such a nice and friendly person :)
There is also a small market where you get the most important things which you need for your stay, like fresh bread, really good ham and cheese, water, coffee, beer, wine,...
Thanks a lot for the lovely stay, Thomas 🇦🇹🏍️
I always feel that it's important to be fair and understanding when writing reviews. In reality, this is a good campsite. It's rated as a 2 pennant site and I would say that is fair. The views are spectacular, and the surrounding areas are quiet and beautiful. The horse riding they provide on site is also a great addition and very well priced.
The site itself is situated in a very quiet hamlet at the top of a very steep and challenging road. Be aware if you are in a campervan/caravan.
Sadly, there were some negatives. You were not allowed to drive your car onto the field so setting up and packing away can be difficult. You have to park the car in their car park but you are then charged for the privilege of bringing a car which I find wrong.
Equally, after paying for a large tent I would expect to have that large space, despite being in a smaller tent. Instead, i found people camped right in my porch area and right behind me (they were so close every time they went to their tent, they kicked mine). There are no clear pitches so you can go anywhere you want. This needs to be controlled better
On the last night of my stay, we had our neighbours smoking pot. This is a family site and so therefore totally unacceptable.
I also feel that the toilets were not enough and often very dirty. 4 showers, and 2 toilets+2 urinals is not enough (fyi this is not covid-19 restrictions as was previously claimed).
This could be a 5 star campsite if some small changes were made.
Expensive for what you get. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers for the whole campsite (>200 guests). Our place was stuffed in the middle of a parking space, as they did not have sufficient parking places. When we said this to the reception, it was told that she only worked in the reception and she didn’t mind. The surroundings are beautiful, but we were very disappointed with the facilities and service.
One of the best campings I've been to. Awesome view, silence, great atmosphere, nice people
